ABOUT US

We Live, We Love, We Serve
John the Baptist, a man sent by God, gave himself in service for our Lord to establish the church around the year 30 A.D. It was from this small start that these people grew rapidly and established other churches in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
A remnant church however, has remained faithful to God through the centuries, even though some churches began straying from God's plan. Over time, his people spread the Gospel in all parts of the world. The truth resides with us today because of their undying loyalty and faithful service in spreading it.
In 2012, a small group of saints felt a need to begin holding services.
Missionary Yvonne Bennet hosted the first prayer meetings in her home. In the wake of these meetings, it was concluded that a church was needed in Newark NJ. A mission was subsequently formed in anticipation of establishing a temple for worship until Jesus return.

The church was founded by Bishop Noel Brown with the loyal support of his family despite many persecutions. After meeting in this capacity for a few months, the first service was held on Sunday Morning, March 12, 2012 at 398 15th Ave Newark, New Jersey. In August of 2012, the brethren voted unanimously to form a branch of Calvary Evangelistic Assembly.

Our Beliefs
Source of Authority
Our rule of faith and practice is the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible. It is composed of the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. These books testify of Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the world. Luke 24:44, 2 Peter 3:15-16, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Peter 1:19-21.
Sovereign
God is sovereign. He is the most high God, King of Kings and Lord of lords. He is eternal, holy, faithful, perfect, all-knowing, all-powerful, just, and true. Along with these attributes, God is love and light. History is His Story. He has been writing the story of redemption across the pages of time. Although many deny and disobey Him, He is still God and has made a way for man to be saved and have a restored relationship with Him. 1 Timothy 6:14-16, 1 John 1:5, 1 John 4:16, John 17:3, 1 Thessalonians 1:9, 1 John 5:20, Luke 12:7, 1 Timothy 1:17 and John 1:18.
Savior
Jesus Christ, the second person of the Godhead, is the only Savior of mankind. He alone has the ability and authority to forgive sins. He is Creator of the Universe and God in the flesh who was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death on the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day being victorious over death, hell, and the grave. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for man and awaiting His second return. He alone can make you right with God. John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-17, John 1:14, John 3:16-18, and John 14:6.
Salvation
Man is dead in trespasses and sins and has no ability to save himself. There is no amount of good works he can do in order to obtain a right standing with God. God abhors man’s self-righteous endeavors to get right with Him. God’s standard of righteousness is Jesus Christ; therefore, man must repent of his sins and turn by faith to Jesus for the salvation of his soul. How do you know you are saved? Have you been convicted of your sins? Have you felt the weight and burden of sins upon your heart? Have you found yourself trembling before Almighty God? Once you turn to Christ through the calling and drawing power of the Holy Spirit, the evidence of salvation is peace in the heart and the new beginning of a changed life. Ephesians 2:1-10, Romans 5:1-5, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, and
John 3:6.
Sanctification
Once you are saved, God begins conforming your life into the image of Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit and Word of God. You will be changed and changing throughout the rest of your life. The first step in following Jesus is to join a local body of believers and make a public declaration of faith through baptism. In a community of faith, one will learn to love God and other brothers and sisters in Christ. The local church was established by Jesus Christ to carry out His ordinances (Baptism and Lord’s Supper) and to advance His kingdom on the earth. 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 1:4, Proverbs 4:18, 1 Corinthians 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Galatians 5:19-23 and Romans 8:29-30.
Second Coming
The end of the world is approaching and Jesus Christ is coming again. Will you prepare to meet your Maker? 1 Peter 4:7, Hebrews 1:10-12, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, Matthew 24:35, 2 Peter 3:2-7 and Revelation 22:12-21.
